Working Pattern Irish Guards button

Working Pattern No. 21586.  Button, Insignia, Irish Guards, Small.  Here we are offering a 'Working Pattern' (sometimes referred to as a sealed pattern) button for the uniforms worn by the Irish Guards.  A working pattern is a sample used to ensure that the manufacturer makes the item in question to the exact specifications of this 'original' piece - essentially a template to ensure no variation.  The button here is attached to the original working pattern label via cotton tape and sealed with lead such that it cannot be removed.   Dated 19th September 1978 with later dated on the rear in 1990.  Stock code M28101.
