Physically measures approx. 44” so should be OK for around a 40” chest. Interesting example with typical late war multiple panelled front but only a four panel rear section. The leather is in very good overall condition retaining amost all of the original chromed finish and good flexibility. There are no tears/repairs or damage. There is some fairly minor surface wear and crazing at the elbows but these are not significant. All the zips are original - the main is a 'Lightning' and both sleeves are Air Ministry marked 'F.F.' branded. All retain their leather puller tabs. Excellent mid length dense brown fur lining with a slightly longer and shaggier fur on the zip flap section. Even waist and cuffs are good and not badly worn as is often the case. The jacket has the original belt, chain hanger and collar strap/rings. There are soft verdigris deposits to metal components such as the zips, collar rings and underarm vent eyelets. This is normally very easy to remove using cotton buds soaked in metholated spirits. A very good to excellent later war example. Stock code J19948.
