R.A.F. Cirrus Major Propeller (Tiger Moth)

DWG Z974/3. 1940 dated. Laminated wooden twin bladed propeller as used on the famous De Havilland Tiger Moth RAF trainer aircraft. Approx. 1.9m (75\", 6\'3\") in length. Brass cased leading edges. The brass has been removed towards the blade tips and the rivet holes filled/plugged. The previous owner also hand painted the tips yellow (easily removed if required). Various reference codes stamped into the front of the boss. Also marked to the rear of the boss \'1940\' and \'Tiger Moth\'. Lovely display piece in very good overall condition. This item is quite delicate at the leading edge and tips where the brass sheathing has been removed. For this reason we are not happy to post it. Collection can be arranged by appointment. Stock code M15154.
