R.A.F. Irvin Flying Jacket - Early Pattern

Physically measures approx. 45 so should be OK for around a 40/41 chest. Classic early example with single panel fronts and just one centre seam on the back of the jacket. The leather is in excellent overall condition retaining much of the original chromed finish and flexibility. No tears, damage, holes or repairs. All of the stitching and seams appear good and tight. Excellent short dense pale tan coloured fur that remains good even at the cuffs and waist. Oddly the left side of the collar has a different fur but this isn\'t particularly obvious and is original to the collar. The jacket retains original Lighting zips\', all with leather pull tags The belt is also in very good condition. This example had a chain hanger (only the end rings remain), collar strap/rings and eyelets to the rear of the collar for the elastic \'collar strap\' (not present). Named to the rear of the collar. Overall this is an excellent early war example in a reasonable size. From my own collection due to upgrades. Stock code J14378.
