Interwar Bausch & Lomb / Centex Goggles - Boxed

Goggles by Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. of Rochester, New York. Interesting lightweight gogglemask. Steel wire frame fitted with a single \'Centex\' glass lens. According to the box, \'Centex lenses were produced from a colourless crown specially prepared optical glass of unvarying refractive index, dispersion and hardness\'. The frame is backed with \'sprung\' knitted silk fabric trimmed in brown fur. Fitted with a simple webbing strap and clasp. The goggles are in excellent overall condition showing little signs of use or wear. These come with the orignal box which is a bit soiled and has splits to the lid section. A lovely pair of 1920s/1930s private purchase flying goggles. Stock code G11690.
