R.A.F. Fighter Aircraft Sutton Harness


Webbing harness that was used to secure the pilot into the seat of his fighter aircraft. Sutton Harnesses were used in many wartime and pre-war aircraft including the Spitfire & Hurricane (see photo 10). Complete with adjuster straps and classic triangular \'pin-release\' buckle. Various markings and inspection stamps. Very good used condition bar light soiling, surface corrosion of some metal parts and minor fraying of the webbing in places. I believe there would have been some \'tail\' straps from the metal end brackets on this harness that actually fastened the airframe/seat. Stock code M17067.
