R.A.F. Irvin Flying Jacket

Physically measures approx. 48-49 so should be OK for around a 44-45 chest. Classic early mid-war example with four panel front/back. The leather is in excellent overall condition retaining much of the original chromed finish and flexibility. No tears, damage, holes or repairs. All of the stitching and seams appear good and tight bar the rear centre seam on the collar (see photo). Excellent short dense chestnut tan coloured fur. This is worn at the cuff front area and front waist area but remains very good at the rear waist/cuff hems. The jacket retains original \'Lighting\' zips, the main one complete with leather pull tag. The belt is also in very good condition. This example has a chain hanger, collar strap/rings and eyelets to the rear of the collar for the elastic \'collar strap\' (not present). Overall this is an excellent example in a good size. It would look even better with a light application of leather dressing. Stock code J16871.
