R.A.F. Irvin Flying Jacket - Largest Size Made

\'Irvinsuit\' jacket by Irving Air Chute of Great Britain. Stores ref. 22c/110. Size 8 (largest available) Ht. 6\'2 - 6\'4\", Ch. 42-44\", Wt. 40-42\". 1941 dated. Physically measures approx. 50 so should be OK for around a 46 chest - the measurements given on the label refer to the size when worn over a uniform or similar clothing. Classic early war pattern with two-panel fronts/back. The leather is in excellent overall condition retaining much of the original chromed finish and flexibility. Apart from light abrasion and wear there is no damage or repairs but sadly the belt and collar strap/rings have been removed at some stage. All of the stitching and seams appear good and tight. Excellent mid length dense golden tan coloured fur that is still good at both the cuffs and waist. The jacket retains its chain hanger and original \'Lightning\' brand zips, the main complete with with leather pull tag. Lovely large original label complete with size and date details. Overall this is a very nice example in the largest size produced. Would improve further with a light leather dressing. If you are looking for a big Irvin do not miss this one! Stock code J17514.
