Rare lapel badge commemorating Amy Johnson's record breaking flight from England to Australia in 1930. Manufactured by the English badge makers, W. Miller of Birmingham.
Approx. 25 x 25mm. Attractive lapel badge manufactured in brass and green enameld. The badge is in the form of an aeroplane which has the name "Jason" (the name of Johnson's Gypsy Moth) on it's nose . Across the wings is the name 'AMY' and to each side of this are maps of Great Britain and Australia. Pin backed. Marked to the rear with manufacturer's details and a number. This particular badge is probably the hardest to find out of those made to commemorate her flight. Very good condition. Stock code M13755.
