Approx. 7 x 8cm. Printed on cotton. The famous 'Pegasus' divisional formation sign was used by members of the 1st and (later) 6th Airborne divisions. Designed by the artist Edward Seago and depicting the ancient Greek hero Bellerophon riding the mythical winged horse Pegasus. This example is in very good used condition and came to us directly from an RAF Air Commodore who was given it by the original veteran, Derek Craven of Boston around 1950.
