Card backed album, approx. 23 x 29cms. Produced by the Garbaty Cigarettenfabrik, Berlin. Dating from the 1930s. History of "conquest of the air," with mounted cigarette cards accompanied by German text and captions giving details about aircraft shown (passenger and freight transportation, sports, parachuting, gliders, balloons, and airships; historic flights). 39 pages of cards - with 234 cards in total. Superbly illustrated cards. Sadly one is missing! The cover is a bit dog-eared and worn around the edges with small tears/areas of damage. The pages are generally very good bar a little 'fox' marking/wear. Impressive. Stock code P8832.
