Brown leather belt with grey painted double pronged pebble grained buckle. The belt in stamped 'VIII' and the buckle 'RZM M5/140', denoting the maker as Wilhelm Schroder & Co., Ludenscheid. The leather is in good strong condition. It has normal wear and marking/scuffing but no serious issues. The buckle has loss to the paint finish but no damage. Holes punched make this suitable for sizes between approximately 32 and 38". This was worn with the Tuchrock (service dress tunic) for flying duties pre 1940 and as a standard dress item after that date. They are often seen in period photos, being worn with a variety of kit including Fliegerbluse, leather jackets, 'Channel' suits etc. Stock code U18949.
