Size unknown but generous. Physically measures 44" pit to pit (laid flat and zipped). A comfortable fit for me over other clothing (6'1", 38/40" chest). One-piece flying suit manufactured in a heavy brown/white flecked cotton commonly referred to as 'salt and pepper'. Fitted with a long diagonal zip fastener from waist to shoulder and with zips at the sleeve and leg ends. It also features zipped leg pockets and side entry slits along with concealed elasticated inner cuffs. This is an 'intermediate' pattern in that it has the later ring-pull emergency release cord that was introduced so that the wearer could removed the suit quickly without the need to undo any zips. However it still has the earlier horizontal fly zip. Overall condition is good to very good bar a few small fray holes at the back and a larger darned area on the back of the left leg (see photos). Some fading and soiling - notbaly to the front of the left leg. All the zips are original ZIPP brand and are most are complete with leather puller tabs. The suit retains the original quick release ring pull and cord - the latter possibly being a replacement. The leather collar strap has surface cracking/crazing and the label is washed out/illegible. Also stamped '39' & '0'. The overall appearance of this suit is very good and it would make a superb display piece. Furhter photos available on request. Stock code S19431.
