Stores Ref. 22c/229. Size 9. Classic Battle of Britain boots identical in pattern to the earlier 1936 pattern but with vulcanized canvas uppers. The leather shoe section is in good condition with relatively minor wear and tear. The canvas uppers are in good overall condition but grubby and do have the usual abrasion/wear marks at the inner ankle area. This pair is fitted with the earlier leather type top strap rather than the canvas version. These have surface cracking but are otherwise in good condition. Unfortunately the linings are badly moulting with very significant loss. That said, this is not really apparant once displayed on a mannequin. They have very old/period replacement soles stitched into place and have had very little wear since. Complete with the original leather puller tags - both with Air Ministry/AID markings. A good pair of these rare 'Battle of Britain' boots let down by the linings. Priced accordingly. Stock code B18838.
