Stores Ref. 22c/229. Size 9. 1939 dated. Classic Battle of Britain boots identical in pattern to the earlier 1936 pattern but with vulcanized canvas uppers. The leather shoe section is in good condition with average marking/wear and tear. The canvas uppers are also good although a bit grubby. They have the usual wear and abrasion at the inner ankles - see photo. with only light soiling and wear. This pair is fitted with the canvas type top strap rather than the black leather version. The friction buckles have verdigris deposits but this will probably clean off with care. Unlike most '39 pattern boots, the linings are actually very good with no signs of moulting - just a bit grubby from use. the boots also have the priginal insoles although these are worn. Original (worn) soles. They have probably had replacement heel pads at some stage. Complete with clear Air Ministry King's Crown markings and 1939 date code in each boot. A good used pair of these rare and sought after boots. Stock code B16126.
