W.F.P.235. Issued by The National Savings Committee and printed for HM Stationary Office by J.Weiner Ltd. Approx. 70 x 55cm. Original wartime savings poster designed specifically for use as an indicator of savings progress in schools. It is divided into 12 panels in each of which is a blank space for recording the weekly total. The 12 panels follow the series of events carried out during a RAF Air Sea Rescue mission from the Hurricane fighter returning from a successful mission. The fighter then has engine trouble and the pilot's message is taken by the ASR base. Other pictures show the pilot in a dinghy and reaching an ASR float where he waits for a rescue launch. The poster is a little soiled, has light creasing and small edge tears but displays well. Stock code P4288.
