Stores ref. 6E/391. Binocular holder/rest as used on flying boats etc. Folding metal stand with two arms that fold out to 90 degrees and form padded arm rests. A pair of standard binoculars would be fitted to the top bracket and the padded base is ball jointed in order to attain optimum viewing and comfort. A webbing lanyard serves as a carrying /neck strap when not in use. These are probably unused and are undamaged but do have some storage wear and age. Fully stamped/marked. They come in the original issue box. These rests were used primarily by Coastal Command crews. A rare find. Stock code M15820.
