Marked to the lid with a red cross, Air Ministry King's Crown markings and wording 'FIRST AID OUTFIT - AIRCRAFT DINGHY LARGE (4 - 10 MEN) - BOTTOM LEFT BRIGHT FOR HELIOGRAPH PURPOSES'. Has surface corrosion and wear. Small hole drilled into 'front' side (see photo). Quite clean inside. Some tape residue to base. The lid has fittings to hold a pair of scissors. These were used with the large multi-man dinghies and contained a comprehensive range of bandages and medicines etc. 1943 dated to base. Empty. Stock code M16089.
