Gold/yellow silk covered version of the standard rubberized cotton bladder for the '41 pattern mae-west. The material is generally very clean and is flexible but does have areas of abrasion and small slits so would not hold air for long at all. The oral inflation tube is also completely flexible and the valve opens and closes freely. There is no inflation lever or CO2 bottle fitted. Air Ministry and King's Crown marked and dated 2/42. Whilst these silk covered bladders were intended for tropical use they undoubtedly saw service over Europe too. Stock code MW15411.
