Stores ref. 22c/1400-1415 (depending on size). Approx. size 10. Classic early 1950s 'escape' boot based on the earlier 1943 pattern boot. It has a shoe section at the bottom with a polished leather upper section that could be removed if evading in enemy territory. Unfortunately, due to the generous proportions of the uppers on these boots there was a tendancy for them to fall off during high speed ejections! Unlined and with the early pattern leather sole. Sound condition but well worn with scuffs, nicks etc. No laces. Label removed - the original pilot veteran told me he was instructed to remove all labels from flight clothing in case of capture during the cold-war period. Bargain price. Stock code B19094.
