Stores ref. 6B/153. By The British Engraving & Nameplate Manufacturing Co. Leatherette case/folder approx. 32 x 32cm containing a metal frame/backboard with a rotating disc of night sky features attached. Compes with four acetate/perspex sheets showing different grids for different latitudes (2 are actually the same). Used for navigation via the night sky. The case is worn but quite good as is the backplate. The acetate grids have warped in places (worst shown) and ther is some 'reaction' peeling in places. Reasonably good used condition overall. Well marked and 1940 dated. Essential navigation kit in WW2. Stock code M15818.
