Stores Ref. 15A/156 (pack alone) or 15A/141 (with canopy). Two point detachable chest pack. Attaches to the Observer type harness by the engagement of a pair of steel loops with a pair of hooded snap-hooks located on the chest.
This example is manufactured the less common and lighter weight 'chocolate' coloured plain weave duck canvas. It is complete with all the webbing grab handles, rip-cord flap and rip-cord handle housing. The label is war department broad arrow and Air Ministry marked. The pack is a little grubby in places. There are also a few loose stitches where the grab handles are attached and one of the small inner 'corner flaps' is partially torn (see photos). In good to very good used condition overall. No ripcord, canopy or bungees are fitted but it does have the original metalwork for attaching to the harness. Photographed stuffed with bubblewrap for illustrative purposes only.
