Rare oxygen tube specially designed for wartime rear gunners with more exposed positions. Manufactured from thicker rubber less prone to freezing these look almost identical to the standard tube, but can be identified by the 1" white band painted around them. This example is from my own collection following some upgrading. The tube is cracking within the folds of the rubber and the upper connector is attached with cloth tape rather than the usual twine. This is probably an original wartime modification. The white band is not terribly obvious being faded and dirty (see photo). The brass MK.IV bayonet connector and 'crocodile' clothing clip are tarnished /have surface corrosion. Overall in fair condition only but extremely rare to find. Stock code O13384.
