Commonwealth manufacture. The same size and shape as the usual type but in a chocolate canvas rather than the more commonly found sandy colour. Central slot for the harness to pass through. On the front edge of the cushion there is an unusal white canvas strip with press studded straps. This is marked with a red cross. There is a cut-out section in the foam insert to house a small first aid outfit. The cushion is of post-war manufacture with a foam rubber insert and with nylon fixing straps in place of the the canvas webbing type found on WW2 examples. Hard to find.
