Size Medium. Dated 3-45. (March 1945). Rare wartime dated example of this mask. The rubber facepiece is in fair condition only. Most of the rubber remains flexible but the mask has been squashed and is somewhat flattened with the lower edges curling inwards. There is some minor perishing around the edges and cracking under the chin area (see photos). There is minor cracking on the harness retaining lugs. The pearl grey suede lining has become unglued in places and is grubby. Fitted with a type 57 microphone assembly and a flecked light tan coloured loom. The harness is complete but faded and with loss of elasticity. These late war H-masks are very difficult to obtain now in any condition and are considerably rarer than a G-type mask. Although this is in tatty/fair condition it can be packed to improve the shape and displays reasonably well. A bargain price for a wartime example! Stock code O18739.
