Size Medium. Dated 2-45. (Feb. 1945). Rare wartime dated example of this mask. The rubber facepiece is in fair to reasonable condition only. The rubber retains some flexibility but is soiled and somewhat mishapen. There is suprisingly little damage overall but areas around the edges have suffered with light cracking and some perishing. Unusually there is no significant cracking on the harness retaining lugs. The pearl grey suede lining has become unglued slightly and is rather grubby. Fitted with a type 57 microphone assembly and a flecked light tan coloured loom. The harness is complete but faded and with some loss of elasticity. Metal componants have verdigris deposits in places. These late war H-masks are very difficult to obtain now in any condition and are considerably rarer than a G-type mask. Although this is only in fair condition due to poor storage it can be packed to improve the shape and cleaned up. It displays reasonably well. A bargain price for a wartime example! Stock code O18736.
