The first officially designated helmet manufactured in brown chromed leather with a fold-back peak and press-studded earflaps to accomodate Gosport earpieces. This example is half fur lined with a blanket lining in the crown area. Others were manufactured with half fur, half chamois and other variations also exist. The leather is in good condition and although showing surface abrasion and wear it remains fully supple. The earflaps are good with the wind deflector pads intact and the press stud adjusters having virtually all of the original coating. The lining is also very good with just a little wear/loss around the nape of the neck. The chinstrap is a bit ragged through use but the pronged buckle fastener still retains all of its original leather covering. Unmarked and without label. Super example. Stock code H15156.
