One of the three variations of this particular kit that was introduced during 1943. Compact olive drab canvas pouch with zip closure, press studed front pocket and 'lift-the-dot' fasteners that attached to matching studs in the crew positions inside the aircraft. Contained 3 x boxed small first aid dressings, tourniquet, 10x iodine swabs, eye dressings, burn jelly, bandage compresses, scissors, morphine syrettes, sufadiazine tablets and halazone tablets. The latter 3 items were removed from training aircraft. This kit appears to have everything bar these 3 items and the scissors. The pouch is in good condition bar light soiling and wear. It is stamped 'Medical Dept. U.S.A.'. The contents are generally in good unused but aged condition - the burn jelly not so good as is often the case. These kits were carried on all combat, cargo, transport and glider aircraft. Stock code S18284.
