By S & P Harris Ltd. Size 6 3/4. War department broad arrow marked and 1943 dated. Standard issue cap. The material is generally good - there is some overall fading and soiling but this is only really noticeable when compared with the normally unexposed areas of the cap. There is some mothing/holes around the sides of the crown and further holes 'hidden' under the 'flap'. As most of the moth damage isn't immediately obvious the overall appearance is actually pretty good. The leather peak shows some use/wear but is in very good overall condition as is the green underside - this has been marked '2011722 Barnard'. The leather 'chinstrap' is in good order. Excellent mohair band and badge. Blue grey cotton lining shows use an wear with a rear seam split. The greasecloth crown cover remains in place with maker's marks, size and date visible beneath. A good displayable cap. Stock code U19027.
