122 - A Short Account of the Operational Life of 122 Wing, 83 Group.  P/b, 17 x 22cm, 24p.  Published by J. H. Schultz in Denmark, 1945.  122 Wing was formed in February 1943 as part of the 2nd Tactical Air Force and has an unsurpassed record of successes against the enemy flying Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs and Tempests etc.  Initially led by Battle of Britain pilot W/Cdr. C.F. 'Bunny' Currant  D.S.O., D.F.C., 122 took part in the famed Aalborg raid, preparations for D-day and beyond, the Falaise Gap battle and much more.  Between D-day and May 6th 1945 the wing destroyed 3911/2 enemy aircraft with 27 probable and 275 damaged for the loss of 141 pilots, many of whom subsequently returned safe.  They destroyed 78 locomotives (1077 damaged), destroyed 170 railway trucks (2248 damaged) and 100 barges (436 damaged).  The wing was disbanded on 7 September 1945.  This very rare original unit history is in very good condition bar some paper residue on the rear cover.  Stock code P14995.
