Crude wooden clipboard fashioned from a piece of ply and a large bulldog clip.  Approximately 16 x 26cm and named (faintly) to F/E. Waldron A.T.A.  It has a a few unused Ferry Flight performance forms (C.T.O.1 & C.T.O/1A) attached.  Harold Frank Peter Waldron (son of Frank and Elsie Waldron, of Didcot, Berkshire) flew as a flight engineer with the ATA.  He died in service on 22nd April 1943 at the age of just 27 when his Catalina flying boat crash landed at Largs in Ayrshire.  Sadly Waldron failed to escape from the sinking plane.  His name is inscribed on panel 288 of the Runnymede Memorial and his name is also mentioned with other WW2 affiliations to the war memorial at Aston Upthorpe in Oxfordshire.  Stock code M27183-82.
