Sweeting.  H/b with d/j, 21 x 26cm, published by Airlife, 1989, 1st edition, 244pp.  The companion volume to Sweeting's 'Combat Flying Clothing' book.  This equally indispensable reference work covers the development and characteristics of a wide range of personal equipment used by the AAF from the end of WW1 to the end of WW2.  It includes oxygen equipment, parachutes, anti-flak clothing, anti-G and pressure suits, survival kit etc.  Illustrated throughout with photographs.  Sweeting is considered a leading authority on aviation clothing and equipment and was curator of flight material at the Smithsonian Institute's National Air and Space Museum.  Long out of print this is a must for any collector of AAF flight kit.  Shows light use to dustjacket but generally in excellent condition.  Stock code P26591B.
