Written and illustrated by Reed Kinert, who was a flight instructor at Ryan Field, California and an accomplished artist. All the illustrations were done by Kinert and have a lovely period feel. Aircraft shown include the Avenger, Catalina, Corsair, B-17, Harvard, Helldiver, B-24, Lightning, B-25, C-47 and Thunderbolt amongst many others. The covers are soiled, as are some of the pages.
