A very rare original hand drawn illustration of the Vickers Supermarine Spitfire VB powered by a 1280hp Rolls Royce Merlin XLV engine and armed with 2 cannons and 4 machine guns. The 1/72nd scale drawing is from the office of J.H. Clark, famed chief illustrator at 'The Aeroplane' magazine, responsible for many of their superb exploded diagrams and detailed technical illustrations. Drawn by him or one of his colleagues in black ink on thick/strong tracing paper, it measures approximately 20 x 29cm (not trimmed squarely) and shows the aircraft from above, front and side. Relatively minor creasing and some edge damage but in very good overall condition and would look great mounted and framed. Stock code P27169.
