Photo of B-29 'Bockscar', signed by co-pilot - Nagasaki

B&W, approximately 25 x 20cm.  An excellent clear photograph showing the cockpit of USAAF Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber 'Bockscar'.  On 9th August 1945 this aircraft, piloted by Major Charles W. Sweeney, dropped the second atomic bomb, code-named 'Fat Man', over the city of Nagasaki, Japan, causing extensive destruction.  Surrender by Japan followed shortly afterwards.  This relatively modern photograph is hand signed in blue ink by the co-pilot Charles Donald Albury (1920 - 2009).  Excellent condition.  Stock code P24215A-300.
