The Test Flight of Sky Robin by Doris Garn and George Zaffo (illustrator). H/b spiral bound with d/j, 26 x 20.5cm. Published by The World Publishing Company, New York, 1946, 1st edition. 'Here is a realistic, animated story of the test flight of a new little airplane. Young air enthusiasts, as they follow the story, help the mechanics mount the landing gear on the assembly line. They sit with the test pilot in the cockpit, take off, and land with him by means of dramatic animations'. Very nicely illustrated and complete with 'tabs' to pull or rotate, that do such things as retract the undercarriage, move the aircraft and propellor and open the hangar doors. Good overall condition. The front cover is good, rear has a crease from top to bottom, pages are a little soiled and tabs worn but moveable pictures all seem to be working. The paper dustjacket is soiled with dog-eared edges/corners and some tears. A scarce childrens' book that commands strong prices. Stock code P24215A-140.
