Here we go again, Christmas is almost upon us. It's time to drop those hints with your nearest and dearest, or to treat yourself to something for your collection, as our festive stock update is almost ready. It will take place sometime randomly selected between Wednesday 30th November and Friday 2nd December. It has been quite challenging to arrange this update due to a recent 'outbreak' of covid in the family. The time lost significantly delayed progress and reduced the size. Nevertheless, we plan to offer 125 or more new items including quite a large selection of paperwork plus RFC, RAF and USAAF flying clothing, uniform items, survival kit, escape and evasion equipment, station items and more. This year we are even more mindful of the alarming increase in the cost of living and to this end we have tried to increase the number of smaller, lower priced items whilst still offering higher end items as well.
Everything is available on a first come first served basis but please remember that an item is not 'bagged' until you have completed checkout. Remember, you don't need to be registered to checkout and can do this 'as a guest'. If you order multiple items, any excess postage paid will be refunded once the orders have been packed. Sorry, strictly no previews so please don't ask!
Payment can be made online through our automated checkout using Stripe or PayPal (no accounts needed). Or if you prefer, select 'offline' payment to settle your bill using a bank transfer, cheque or credit/debit card payments via telephone. If you do want to pay over the phone please avoid ringing whilst the update is in progress as we'll be too busy to respond. If paying 'offline' please email and let us know.
Due to the significant delays and losses encountered since 'Brexit', the website is not programmed to allow direct sales to the EU. This said, we are happy to ship to mainland Europe subject to certain conditions. Customers are advised to contact us to discuss potential purchases before ordering goods. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
What's on your 'Christmas Wish List'? Did you know that it's possible to save items of interest to review at a later date? When you've created a list, you can email it, print it or send an enquiry about all items in the list. To add items to this list, view an item on the website and simply click on the 'Add to wish list' button. Ideal for dropping those 'not so subtle' hints!
Our traditional Advent Calendar will also be loaded to the website from 1st December so that you can enjoy 'unwrapping' a mystery item (sometimes two) each day until the 24th December. So that's at least another 24 new items in December to look forward to!
It might be prudent to mention the Royal Mail strikes, currently planned for December 1st, 2nd, 9th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 23rd & 24th. These will inevitably impact delivery times. We send most of our more valuable items via Royal Mail Special Delivery which is faster and safer. Apparently Special Delivery items are to be given priority on strike days but next day delivery is not guaranteed. Where necessary we will offer alternative services but if you are wanting items to arrive before Christmas please order as early as possible.
Who needs the World Cup, heating and eggs? Stock up on essentials like warm flying clothing and period rations, fill those cupboards and hoard some inflation beating history...
