By the Parr Manufacturing Co. Approximately 5cm long x 2.5cm diameter. Known as the utility lighter this is an ingeniously designed lighter containing a hidden escape/evasion compass. Manufactured in brass with a virtually undetectable inner brass sleeve concealing a standard 0.5" MI9 compass. The lighter was completely functional even with the compass in position. All brass cased variants of this lighter exist but they were also made with painted 'lids' like this example. Some wear and scratches to the painted lid but otherwise in excellent unused condition. The lighter has never had fuel added. Manufacturer's marks to the base. A fantastic little escape and evasion device. Stock code E22148.
