Brown bakelite button with integral magnetised section. Small dots on the reverse of the button indicate North and South. When suspended by a thread the button could be used by an evader or escaper to navigate towards neutral territory. These were manufactured in black and brown, the former normally associated with the RAF. Excellent condition and still attached to a section of card on which this was originally supplied.
