External flying helmet instrument cord (wiring loom). Stores reference 10A/10353. Type Q loom wired to a type 20 microphone (type 21 when 'mounted' as here) ready for fitting to a type D oxygen mask. The type 20, stores reference 10A/11994 has a black painted alloy casing and is often referred to as the '1941' pattern although it was actually introduced in October 1940. It has some distortion and minor paint loss on exposed edges but is in very good overall condition. Air Ministry and King's crown markings to the front face. It retains the original (perished) rubber 'band' around the microphone on the reverse. The pink flecked light tan coloured loom is a little soiled and has fraying to the cotton sheathing as shown. Fitted with an early brown cased type 119 bell jackplug. All ready for your B-type helmet. Stock code O10557.
