USAAF T-30-V throatmicrophone, boxed
By Shure Brothers, Chicago. The microphone comes with a rubber neckpiece, integral wiring loom with PL-291 2-pin jackplug and elastic neckband (M-199). Contained in 1944 dated box of issue with 4 sided illustrated instruction leaflet marked 'restricted'. Very minor deterioration of the rubber where the loom meets the microphone but in very good to excellent overall condition. Probably unused. Many AAF oxygen masks were worn without an integral microphone and these throatmicrophones were used instead. They were also used by aircrews wearing headsets, often over 'crusher' caps. Stock code O21243.
