American flying helmet c.1920s/30s

Unlabelled but appears to be a helmet by Air Associates Inc. of Garden City New York, Chicago Illinois & Glendale California.  Size '8' marked. Manufactured in dark tan leather with a chamois lining, two rear goggle straps, padded chinstrap with single pronged buckle.  Never fitted with receiver carriers. The leather is quite clean, has a few scuffs and small nicks but is in good supple condition and the lining has average soiling.  Unfortunately  the chinpad and part of the strap is absent but is wouldn't be too difficult to replicate and replate these.  Air Associates Inc. produced flying clothing from the late 1920s into the 1940s and were contracted to supply the USAAF.  A good used helmet.  Stock code H18506.
