SOLD

Cesco 'Wide Vision' Flying Goggles.  White metal frames perforated on the upper and lower edges with ventilation holes to prevent fogging.  Rubber facepads, curved clear glass lenses and a simple elastic strap.  The frames are good bar fairly light tarnishing.  The pads retain quite good shape but have hardened and are perished/cracked in places (see photos).  Light scratches on the lenses.  Excellent strap.  Manufactured by Cesco in Chicago these goggles afforded a good wide field of vision uninterupted by frame edges.  Produced in the interwar period and used largely in commercial aviation.  Stock code G11689.
