Stadium 1963 flying goggles. Blue grey painted white metal frames with ovoid tinted glass lenses and a single-piece rubber face cushion. These were worn before the widespread introduction of visors in the mid 1950s with the MK.1A flying helmet. The frame is paint chipped and slightly bent in places but generally good. It is marked with a war department broad arrow and 'STAD 1963'. The cushion is complete and remains flexible but there is some minor cracking visible at the back. Excellent lenses. The original elasticated strap is also good and fitted with press studded loops used to fasten the goggles to the bonedome. An extremely rare pair of goggles in good used condition. Stock code G22130.
