Stores reference 22G/1398. Size medium. Post WW2 issue. Introduced in the 1950s these are very similar to the standard WW2 issue MK.VIII anti-glare spectacles/sunglasses. They have grey/green tinted lenses set in steel wire frames with side-arms terminating with sprung 'wrap-around' ear pieces. They differ from the MK.VIII in having a brow bar and sidearms sheathed with a plastic 'sleeve'. Stamped 'HADLEY' and with war department broad arrow / reference numbers. The frame is tarnished with some pitting and verdigris deposits but should clean up. The left lens (as worn) has a tiny chip at the bottom adjacent to the frame. One nose rest absent. With original anodized metal case. Fair used condition. Stock code G22870.
