Four pocket dark olive drab 'chocolate' tunic tailored in England by Suinsie of Argyll St., London. A standard tunic with an English made felt 9th patch, stripes for 4 years overseas service and a meritorious service unit patch. Some soiling and wear but free of any serious moth damage. There is a small neatly darned repair on the rear 'skirt' area that looks worse than it is due to some form of tape residue - presumably a temporary fix before the repair was undertaken. This may clean off with care. There is wear/open seams on the lining at the armpits as shown. With tailor's label and indecipherable marks at the neck. Complete with original belt and cast brass buckle. The tunic came to us as described above but for display purposes we have added an original Sterling marked airgunner wing and 2nd Lieutenant rank bars and these are included in the sale. It is much harder to find English made examples of chocolate tunics. Stock code U27578.
