Luftwaffe 'used' flying trousers

Luftwaffe 'used' flying trousers

Code: S22464

SOLD

Brown leather trousers in 'breeches' style, manufactured in good quality thick brown hide with a cotton lining.  Button fly, half waistbelt with single pronged buckle and open angled pockets on the front/hips.  Twin rear pockets with unmarked brass zip fasteners.  Adjustable at the ankles with small buckled straps.  Fitted with buttons for use with braces.  Typical of privately purchased trousers used by Luftwaffe aircrew along with private purchase jackets.  A very similar pair can be seen on p.81 of 'Luftwaffe vs. RAF - Flying Clothing of the Air War, 1939-45' by Mick Prodger.  They are a little soiled but in excellent overall condition and would no doubt clean up beautifully with some light leather dressing.  These would look great on a mannequin display.  Stock code S22464.

Approximate 34" waist, 23.5" inside leg.
