By Nitsche & Gunther. Introduced in 1944 these third pattern 'anti-splinter' goggles have moulded black plastic frames that hinge at the nose. They are fitted with small convex tinted glass lenses designed to provide some protection from flying shrapnel debris. The strap is manufactured using a ribbed grey-green silken headbands each side of the rear elasticated section.
The frame is in excellent condition bar normal wear and the lenses have light scratches. The strap has minor staining and the rear section has lost some elasticty. There are no size or manufacturer's marks. A very good '+' / excellent used pair. Guaranteed original and not one of the Czechoslovakian copies currently circulating. Stock code G19744.
