W.F.P.235.  Issued by The National Savings Committee London and printed for HM Stationary Office by J. Weiner Ltd.  Approx. 55 x 70cm.  Original wartime savings poster designed specifically for use as an indicator of savings progress in schools.  It is divided into 12 panels in each of which is a blank space for recording the weekly total. The 12 panels follow the series of events carried out during a RAF Air Sea Rescue (ASR) mission from the Hurricane fighter returning after a successful mission. The fighter then has engine trouble and the pilot's message is taken by the ASR Base.  Other pictures show the pilot in a survival dinghy and reaching an ASR float where the pilot awaits the rescue launch.  The poster is a little soiled, has creasing and small edge tears, mainly to the left edge.  Displays well.  Stock code BO4290.
