Unlined white cotton drill jacket with flapped pockets, epaulettes and faux turn-back cuffs. Fitted with correct Armee de L'Air gilt buttons. Matching trousers with button fly. This style of uniform is often seen in photographs worn by Czech fighter pilots in the Armee de L'Air in the early stages of the war and during the Battle of France. Photo Nos. 9 - 12 show some Czech pilots at the end of Spring 1940 on the way to England - some wearing just the jacket and others the trousers in combination with the dark blue uniform. The tunic physically measures approx. 40", the trousers, approx 28" wt, 29" leg. There is some soiling and light wear but considering the colour this is in remarkably good condition and displays very well. Also comes with an Armee de L'Air sidecap in very poor heavily mothed condition. Rare to find. Stock code U19599.
